Tenuta Montemagno Relais & Wines is nestled amongst the rolling hills of Monferrato. This former stately home is now home to a winery that produces its own red wines. Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool and an exclusive spa area.
The historic estate dates back to 1563 and retains numerous original features such as vaulted ceilings, exposed wooden beams and parquet flooring. There is a choice of various rooms and suites, all with air conditioning, satellite TV and free internet access.
The breakfast buffet offers sweet and savoury dishes and is served in the breakfast room or in the courtyard, depending on the weather. The restaurant, La Civetta sul Comò, is open daily. From Tuesday to Saturday, live piano music also creates a special atmosphere. Regional specialities are served for lunch and dinner, including fresh truffles as well as typical Piedmontese dishes and desserts.
A range of beauty treatments and massages can be booked at the Adhara Spa. A sauna, sensory showers and a relaxation area are available free of charge to guests who book a massage or treatment.
Tenuta Montemagno is situated around 3 km outside Montemagno and is surrounded by numerous vineyards. The winery produces around 15 different wines, including Barbera, Grignolino and Ruchè. These can be sampled in the lounge bar or in the tasting room. Asti, known for its sweet sparkling wine, is about 20 km away.
