This unique igloo hotel is situated 20 km from Alta town centre on the River Alta. The impressive 2,000 m² structure is rebuilt from scratch every year, entirely from snow and ice, to offer you a unique experience.
In the rooms at the Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel, you’ll sleep in ultra-warm sleeping bags on reindeer-hide sleeping mats. As the temperature here remains constant between -4 and -7 °C, it’s a good idea to bring some thermal underwear.
Next door is a modern service building with showers, changing rooms and a luggage storage facility. The Sorrisniva also features a sauna and two bookable outdoor hot tubs where you can warm up and relax.
In the accommodation’s two restaurants, you can enjoy regional specialities and produce. In the ice bar, beer is served in glasses made of ice.
Artistic ice sculptures are on display throughout the hotel. The staff will be happy to book an excursion for you to explore the surrounding area by snowmobile.
