    Do not venture beyond the usual tourist destinations and use frequently traveled roads only. 
    Follow the recommended itineraries even when undertaking individual visits to the Angkor Wat temple grounds.
    Avoid the entire area around the Preah Vihear temple.

  • Walking the streets after nightfall is not advised.

  • Relatively high crime rate, especially in the cities.

  • Do not carry valuables (watches, jewelry, expensive cameras, etc.) on you.

  • Avoid demonstrations and large crowds.

  • Avoid nighttime driving.
