Travelers who wish to travel to this country are advised to inquire about current traveler safety prior to departure.
Sporadic fighting may break out between rebel groups and the military in the western part of the Pool department. It also affects the security situation in the eastern part of the Bouenza department. Travel to these areas is therefore not advised.
