How Send works.

Do you have relatives or friends abroad who depend on you? Trust, reliability and speed play a major role in sending money. Whether for Christmas, Mother’s Day, back-to-school sales or as monthly assistance: Swiss Bankers ensures that your money arrives safely and securely where it is needed. Money transfers with Send are possible if you have a Swiss Bankers prepaid card. You can send the recipient an amount of money to a bank account, a digital wallet or a Mastercard® credit card. Use the cash pickup service so that the recipient can pick up the cash at one of the pickup locations.

Please note that if you transfer money to a Mastercard card, fees may be charged to the recipient. In general, money can be transferred to any Mastercard card, except certain types of cards such as anonymous cards or company cards.

 

How can I use Send.

1. download the Swiss Bankers App
2. add a Swiss Bankers card (Life, Travel or Prime). 
    If you do not yet have a card, you can order a Life Digital directly in the app.
3. use the Send function in the app.

Fixed transfer fees:

To another Swiss Bankers card: None

To a foreign Mastercard card: CHF 2.00

To a bank account: CHF 3.00

Additional fees

The following charges are incurred in addition to the transfer fees depending on the method of payment used::

When paid for using your Swiss Bankers Prepaid Card:
CHF 0.00, exceptions: Travel or Prime
– The standard transaction fee for Travel or Prime: CHF/EUR/USD 1.00
– Transfer to Travel or Prime: standard top-up fee, usually 1.5% of the total amount

When paid for using your credit card (Visa or Mastercard):
1.5% on the total amount, including transfer fees

When paid for using your PostFinance Card:
CHF 6.00

E-banking transfer:
Free of charge

Payment using a credit card, PostFinance Card and e-banking is only possible if you have ordered your Swiss Bankers prepaid card through one of our sales partners.

How do I transfer money to a Mastercard?

Transfer money directly to a Mastercard card in four steps:

  1. Open the Send feature in the Swiss Bankers app and select your destination country.

  2. Select the «Mastercard»1 payment option

  3. Select the payment method by which you wish to pay

  4. Enter the recipient's2 official name, address and complete credit card number (13 – 19 digits)

The transfer amount will be available on the recipient’s credit card usually within 2 minutes to max. 2 hours after a successful transaction.

The «Send» service may only be used by persons resident in Switzerland.

How do I send money to a mobile phone?

Transfer money directly to a mobile phone in four steps:

  1. Open the «Send» feature in the Swiss Bankers app and select your destination country.

  2. Select the «Mobile wallet»3 payment option

  3. Select the payment method by which you wish to pay

  4. Enter the recipient's2 official name, address and complete telephone number

Available countries and providers for transferring money to a mobile phone:

  • Pakistan: Jazz Cash

  • Sri Lanka: eZ Cash

  • Vietnam: Vnpay

The transfer amount will be available on the recipient’s mobile phone within 2 hours after a successful transaction.

The «Send» service may only be used by persons resident in Switzerland.

How do I transfer money to a bank account?

Transfer money directly to a bank account in four steps:

  1. Open the «Send» feature in the Swiss Bankers app and select your destination country.

  2. Select the «Bank account»4 payment option

  3. Select the payment method by which you wish to pay

  4. Enter the recipient's2 official name, address and full bank account details (IBAN, account number and BIC)

The transfer amount will be available in the recipient’s account within 1-3 working days (mo-fr) after a successful transaction.

The «Send» service may only be used by persons resident in Switzerland.

1 It is only possible to send money to Mastercard payment cards.
2 Beneficiary's name must match exactly as it appears on the identification (ID, passport) otherwise the receiving amount will not be delivered to the beneficiary.
3 Sending amount will be applied to the beneficiary’s mobile wallet (mobile phone) specified on Swiss Bankers beneficiary’s data form. Additional fees may apply on receiver side.
4 Bank deposits take 1-3 business days. Availability depends on destination country and is subject to banking hours and compliance with regulatory requirements.
