What are the advantages of cash or foreign currencies?

Cash is a practical addition to Swiss Bankers prepaid cards, especially when travelling on holiday or business. It allows you to easily pay for small expenses such as tips, taxi rides or local purchases – even in places where card payments are not possible or not common.

 

What are the benefits of ordering cash via the Swiss Bankers App?

Ordering cash via the Swiss Bankers App offers various advantages for our customers:

  • Flexibility: Orders can be placed at any time and from any location directly via the Swiss Bankers App.
  • Wide selection: Around 60 different foreign currencies and Swiss francs are available.
  • Desired denomination: You can choose between small, medium or large denominations.
  • Fast home delivery: Orders are processed quickly and delivered directly to your home address in Switzerland.
  • Transparent costs: Fees and any exchange rates are clearly displayed before the order is completed.

 

 

Which currencies can be ordered via the Swiss Bankers App?

When ordering with a Swiss Bankers card in Swiss francs (CHF), there are over 60 different foreign currencies to choose from. Swiss francs (CHF) can also be ordered. When ordering with a Swiss Bankers card in euros (EUR) or US dollars (USD), only the currencies of the same name are currently available (EUR → EUR, USD → USD).

The range of currencies may vary depending on availability.

Please note the import regulations of the respective country. Information on this can be found in the country information provided by Swiss Bankers. The customer is responsible for complying with the legal import and export regulations for cash applicable to their destination.

 

 

Can Swiss francs also be ordered?

Yes, orders in Swiss francs (CHF) are possible with a Swiss Bankers card in Swiss francs (CHF).

Orders in Swiss francs are currently not possible with Swiss Bankers cards in euros (EUR) or US dollars (USD). Orders can only be placed in the respective card currency (EUR → EUR, USD → USD).

 

Prerequisites for use

General requirements

The service is available to all customers who meet the following requirements:

  • Swiss Bankers App registered customers
  • Active and non-expired Swiss Bankers card
  • The card must have been issued either directly by Swiss Bankers or through a distribution partner in Switzerland.
  • Minimum balance available on the Swiss Bankers card
  • Minimum amount of CHF/EUR/USD 207.50 on the card.
  • Valid residential address in Switzerland
  • The customer must have a residential address in Switzerland.
  • Currently, cash orders can only be paid for with a Swiss Bankers card. Other payment methods cannot be accepted at this time.

Payment is made directly with the Swiss Bankers card, provided that there are sufficient funds on the card. The total amount of the order is debited from the card immediately after the order process is completed.

 

 

Is there a minimum order size?

Yes, orders are accepted from a value of 200 Swiss francs (excluding fees).

Can cash be ordered without a Swiss Bankers card?

No, currently an active Swiss Bankers card is required to order cash via the Swiss Bankers app. The relevant requirements must be met for this.

The order must be placed directly via the card, regardless of whether it was issued by Swiss Bankers itself or by a distribution partner in Switzerland.

 

Can cash also be ordered by telephone?

No, it is not possible to order cash by telephone. Orders must be placed exclusively via the Swiss Bankers app and require an active Swiss Bankers card.

What is the maximum order amount per order?

Orders are possible up to a maximum value of 5,000 Swiss francs per order.

How do I pay for my order?

Payment is made directly with the Swiss Bankers card, provided that there are sufficient funds on the card. The total amount of the order will be debited from the card immediately after completion of the order process.

Why can't I pay for cash orders with all payment methods?

Currently, cash orders can only be paid for using a Swiss Bankers card. Other payment methods cannot be accepted at this time.

Exchange rates & fees

Where can you see the current exchange rate?

The applicable exchange rate is displayed directly in the order process within the Swiss Bankers App as soon as the desired foreign currency and amount have been entered. Before completing the order, the exchange rate used is displayed again in the order overview to ensure full transparency.

What exchange rate is used when ordering cash?

The exchange rate applicable at the start of the cash order with Swiss Bankers applies. The exchange rates displayed are estimates and may change several times a day. This exchange rate is binding for the entire order and will not change after the order has been placed.

How often is the exchange rate updated?

Exchange rates may change several times a day.

What exchange rate does Swiss Bankers use for converting foreign currencies?

The exchange rates used are set by Swiss Bankers and may change several times a day. When setting the exchange rate, Swiss Bankers bases its decision on the usual market sources.

What fees apply to cash orders?

An order fee is charged for each cash order. The amount of this fee is based on the currently valid fee schedule.

Order

Can the denomination of the banknotes be selected when ordering?

During the ordering process, you can specify your preferred denomination in small, medium or large units. Individual denominations are not currently available.

For secondary currencies, we cannot always guarantee that all denominations will be available. Only banknotes will be sent, not coins.

 

 

Can multiple currencies be ordered per order?

No, only one currency can be selected and ordered per order. For additional currencies, a separate, new order must be placed.

How will my order be confirmed?

After successful transmission of the order, an order confirmation will automatically be sent by e-mail to the e-mail address provided. This contains the purchase receipt as a PDF file.

Can I schedule an order in advance for a specific target date?

No, it is not possible to schedule an order for a specific future delivery date. Orders are usually processed and shipped immediately after completion.

Is there a way to prioritise my order?

No, all incoming orders are processed with equal priority. It is not possible to give preferential treatment to individual orders.

Is there an order history or order log that can be viewed in the Swiss Bankers app?

No, it is currently not possible to view the order history of all cash orders that have already been placed.

However, at transaction level (menu: Transactions), the debits for successful cash orders are shown on the respective Swiss Bankers card. The same applies to the account statement within the Swiss Bankers app.

 

 

Delivery and shipping

How will my order be delivered?

Shipping is carried out by Swiss Post via A-Post. Orders worth CHF 1,000 or more are sent by registered mail.

Orders are sent in neutral envelopes that do not reveal the contents and/or sender.

 

 

How secure is the dispatch of orders?

Your order will be shipped securely and discreetly via Swiss Post. Orders over CHF 1,000 will be sent by registered mail. The packaging is neutral and does not reveal the contents or sender. Swiss Bankers bears the risk of loss.

How long does delivery take after ordering?

If Swiss Bankers receives the order on a working day before 3 p.m., the customer will usually receive the banknotes the next day, or the day after at the latest. You will receive secondary currencies within two to three working days, provided that Swiss Bankers receives the order on a working day before 3 p.m.

Is it possible to ship abroad?

No, shipping is only available within Switzerland to the customer's registered residential address.

Can delivery be made to any location?

The sheet music will always be delivered to your registered home address. If this is no longer current, the address can be changed directly within the Swiss Bankers app.

Is express delivery available?

No, express delivery is not available. Delivery will be made in accordance with the defined shipping and delivery times.

Is it possible to track the status of an order that has already been placed?

No, the current status of the order cannot be viewed in the Swiss Bankers app.

However, once the order has been placed, an order confirmation will be sent to the relevant email address to confirm receipt of the order.

 

 

Restrictions, returns and cancellations

Can an order that has already been placed be cancelled?

No, according to the terms and conditions, cash orders cannot be cancelled after they have been submitted. We therefore recommend that you carefully check all details before completing your order.

What can be done if the wrong currency was accidentally ordered?

In principle, cancellation is not possible after the order has been placed. However, depending on the circumstances, the situation can be reviewed and assessed on a case-by-case basis. In the event of an accidental selection, we recommend contacting our customer support team as soon as possible.

Can unused banknotes be exchanged or returned?

Orders for banknotes are binding. Banknotes cannot be returned.

Was passiert, wenn die Lieferung verloren geht oder gestohlen wird?

Die Empfänger von Bargeld Lieferungen haben alle anwendbaren Sicherheitsbestimmungen (z.B. sichere Verwaltung von QR- und Abholcodes) einzuhalten. Die Gefahr des zufälligen Untergangs, Verlusts oder Diebstahls der Bargeld Sendung geht mit der Übergabe der Banknoten an die Empfängerin bzw. den Empfänger oder an eine von dieser Person bevollmächtigte Empfangsperson über.

What should I do if I receive an error message when completing an order?

If you encounter technical problems when completing your order, please contact Swiss Bankers customer service.

I have not received an order confirmation by e-mail. What should I do?

Please wait a moment, as the confirmation is usually sent shortly after the order is completed.

Please also check the spam/junk mail folder of your email inbox. If you cannot find the confirmation after a few minutes, please contact Swiss Bankers customer service.

 

 

 

* Order US dollars, euros, or Swiss francs, for example, on weekdays before 3 p.m. and you will usually receive your cash the next working day—or the day after at the latest. We deliver secondary currencies within two to three working days, provided your order is also received by Swiss Bankers on weekdays before 3 p.m.
