What is Click to Pay?

Click to Pay is the smart way to pay online. Once your card is registered for Click to Pay, there is no need to type in card details when shopping with online retailers.

The card does not have to be available or retrieved; the data is stored securely and centrally and is accessed in encrypted form in the background for each payment process, fully protected by modern, established security technologies.

What are the advantages of Click to Pay?

With Click to Pay, you can enjoy a quick and secure payment process without having to create an account with an e-commerce retailer.

No more manually entering card information; the payment process is completed with just a few clicks.
No more passwords: stress-free online shopping. Your card does not have to be present or pulled out anywhere either.
Keep track of everything: your payment and delivery information is securely stored in your profile. This means you can access it at any time.

How do I pay with Click to Pay?

Once you have registered, you can log in to your profile during the payment process. To do this, enter your email address and you will receive a one-time code, either to your email address or your mobile number. You can enter this one-time code on the merchant's website and then simply pay.

If you select the option ‘Stay logged in’ for your device, you can pay without entering your email address and one-time code the next time you pay. The merchant will automatically recognise your profile and display your Swiss Bankers Card stored with Click to Pay as a payment option.

What data is required for Click to Pay registration?

To use Click to Pay, you need your Swiss Bankers prepaid card. You are identified simply and uniquely via your email address or mobile number. Advanced payment technology and modern, established security technologies ensure that payment transactions and your personal data are secure at all times.

Which retailers accept Click to Pay?

You can use Click to Pay to pay whenever you see the Click to Pay symbol and the Mastercard logo:

Click to Pay is already widely used abroad. In Switzerland, the function will be gradually activated by online shops, so that most Swiss online shops will probably be able to offer this payment function by the beginning of 2025.

Can I register for Click to Pay without entering the competition?

By successfully registering your Mastercard with Click to Pay, you will automatically be entered into a draw to win a dream holiday. If you do not wish to be entered into the draw, please send an email to marketing@swissbankers.ch with a written declaration to that effect.

Please ensure that your e-mail contains the following information:

Your full name
Your credit card number (only the last four digits)
A clear statement that you do not wish to participate in the competition
Please note that your opt-out declaration must be received before the end of the registration period (31 January 2026) in order to be effective

Is there a charge for using Click to Pay?

Click to Pay is free to use. You will not be charged any fees or incur any additional costs for paying with Click to Pay‎.
