In 1975, the company known as Swiss Bankers Travelers Cheque Centerwas founded by Switzerland's banks. Today, the successful company has a new legal entity. In 2008, Swiss Bankers became a joint stock company known as Swiss Bankers Prepaid Services Ltd, its shareholders are:

Swiss Bankers continues to adapt its strategy in response to changes in the marketplace and to new technological advances. Today, the Swiss Bankers Travel Cash Card - a further development of the Swiss Bankers Travelers Cheques - has become the Company's core product.

Due to a successful collaboration with leading companies in the travel money market, Swiss Bankers is part of an international network. Based on a joint venture agreement, Swiss Bankers Travelers Cheques have been honored for replacement abroad by American Express since 1995. In 2002 Swiss Bankers became a member of MasterCard and launched the prepaid Swiss Bankers Travel Cash Card on the MasterCard Prepaid Platform in 2003.
